The course is designed to assist learners with the ability to apply text, lookup, date, and calculation functions in a spreadsheet. The learners will be able to work on a range of cells and apply formulae to worksheets to provide alternative solutions to the given problem. They will learn how to apply simple built-in functions of the spreadsheet application, as well as perform calculation functions. Learners will be taught methods of automatically formatting a spreadsheet and using special effects to improve the presentation of the spreadsheet.

This course is intended for people who need to plan, produce, use and spreadsheets to solve problems using a Graphical User Interface (GUI)-based spreadsheet application either as a user of computers or as basic knowledge for a career needing this competency, like the ICT industry.
