This programme provides a broad introduction to the business environment. It is the starting point for a learner in a selected sector. The focus is knowledge, skills, values and attitudes in relation to the learner`s own context and experience of the world of work. It will allow the learner to contribute to the smooth running of the office, and as such should help others wherever possible. The learner will develop the right attitude that will lead him/her to more efficient operations with greater respect for others.

The learner will be able to identify and respond to factors, faults or damage which increase the security risk for staff and customers. The learner will also be able to use all relevant technology and understand how maintaining a high standard of security impacts positively on revenue for the business.
