Team Performance and Safety Awareness
around the Workplace
Overview
This programme requires learners to reflect on their strengths and weaknesses as well as their teams in order to manage team performance. The learners will be able to identify and solve problems and make decisions in developing a plan of action to minimise negative influences and enhance the performance of a group. It will also enable learners to apply a code of conduct in their decision making. They will be taken through the process of induction for health and safety principles to new personnel so that they can explain the duties of both the employees and employers regarding Occupational Safety and Heath in the workplace.
Learners will be able to understand the requirements that apply to persons entering the workplace and perform any duties therein. They will also be able to understand the requirements for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), housekeeping and emergency procedures that apply to the workplace. They will be able to identify and solve problems pertaining to understanding basic health and safety principles in and around the workplace. They will learn to organise and manage oneself and one's activities so that one is aware of all the rules and regulations that impact safety and health in and around the workplace.
